Strategies for Effective Corporate Relationships

Build Relationships

Effective companies have active team members who speak in classes, serve on advisory boards, fund relevant programs, and creatively explore opportunities to build a mutually beneficial relationship.

Ensure Continuity

Effective companies keep the same executives assigned to university relations as to recruiting to ensure continuity.

Value the University as a Partner

Effective companies value universities for the expertise they supply, and they cultivate the people who supply information as much as they do their other key suppliers.

Invest in the Partnership

An effective company makes meaningful and targeted gifts as part of a strong university- relations-building program.
