Alumni, volunteers, parents, and friends gathered on October 25, 2013, on the Jeffersonian Grounds for a series of events looking toward the future of the University and celebrating the success of U.Va.’s $3 billion fundraising campaign. Discussions focused on three fundraising initiatives: Jeffersonian Grounds Initiative, Arts & Sciences Faculty Forward, and AccessUVa.
Jeffersonian Grounds Initiative
The only American university to be designated an UNESCO World Heritage Site, U.Va. has embarked on a major and urgent effort to repair, renovate, and restore the buildings, grounds, and other parts of its historic precinct, the Academical Village.
A&S Faculty Forward
While the College seeks gifts of all kinds, we’re focused on funding Faculty Forward with $100 million in gifts to the endowment and $30 million in expendable gifts by June 2016.
AccessUVa offers loan-free packages for low-income students, caps on need-based loans for all other students, and a commitment to meet 100 percent of demonstrated need for every student.
