Help Meet COVID-19 Challenges Now

UVA has never encountered something like the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), but our community is already demonstrating its resilience and ability to make the most of a difficult situation. Alumni, parents, and friends from around the world have asked how they may help those in need of assistance.

You can help UVA students, staff, and contracted employees, as well as patients and providers, with some of the many challenges related to COVID-19.

Your gift to the Student Life and Leadership Fund will help students with travel expenses, technology needed for online learning, meals, and other necessities.

The Student Life and Leadership Fund is a long-standing “rainy day” fund administered by the Division of Student Affairs to help students with unexpected expenses. We are already using this fund to assist students who need help now. Learn More.

UVA Emergency Assistance Fund for Employees and Contracted Workers

Your gift to help staff and contracted employees will assist in meeting a range of needs and hardships not covered by unemployment and other benefits.

Since benefits can take time to process, this relief fund will provide those with immediate needs the help they need to meet expenses. Many are facing unexpected costs caused by the crisis we are all affected by. The fund will not cover salary or wages but will help with other crisis-related needs. Give Now.

Your gift will support the critical needs of our patients, frontline care providers, researchers, and staff.

UVA Health is responding to COVID-19 by developing solutions across all fronts. Caring for our patients, ensuring the health and safety of our providers, and making COVID-19 testing and resources available for the greater community are top priorities at UVA Health. Learn more.

University employees can sign up for payroll deductions to support the University's COVID-19 response. Here is a short video explaining how to set up payroll deductions through Workday.

Thank you for your interest in supporting the UVA community during these extraordinary times.
