Rising to the Occasion - Giving to UVA

Two hundred years after Presidents Jefferson, Madison, and Monroe witnessed the laying of the University of Virginia’s cornerstone, an event for the ages took place on the Lawn. It included the legacy of those who have etched their stories onto this place with breathtaking achievements, breakthrough research, beautiful art, and brilliant scholarship. As the evening’s visual centerpiece, the Rotunda was ready for its big night thanks in part to the loyal alumni and friends who contributed to its stunning renovation. With your continued devotion to the Jeffersonian Grounds Initiative, the University will have many more wonderful stories to tell as it imagines the next 200 years.
