David W. Truetzel, Jr.

At UVa, David earned a B.S. in Commerce, concentrating in finance, and also completed a second major in History. Outside of class, David was heavily involved in Honor, where he served as a support officer during his first, second and third years and as Honor Committee Chair during his fourth year. David also worked with the Inter-Fraternity Council and Students for Students International, participated in Sustained Dialogue and was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity. 

After graduation, David moved to New York and spent two years as an investment banking analyst and the subsequent two years as an associate at a private equity firm. In August 2014, he enrolled in the MBA program at Harvard Business School. After graduating in May of 2016, David returned to New York, working first as a public equity analyst at 3G Capital. He is currently an investment analyst at Viking Global Investors, where he works on investing the firm's ~$5bn Viking Global Opportunities fund in private companies. 

David married his lovely wife Shireen in February of 2019 in Austin, TX and the two live in Manhattan.
