UVA Parents Program

Enhancing the Student Experience

The UVA Parents Program enhances the student experience through annual gifts from parents of current and former students. Directed by the UVA Parents Committee, the Parents Program supports student clubs and cultural events, academic enhancement programs and career services, health and wellness initiatives, and class dinners and traditions that enrich student life across Grounds.

Gifts to the Parents Program support three main areas, all directly connected to undergraduate life:

  • Parents Program Grants and Special Initiatives (50%)
Any University student, organization, or department that provides services, programs, or projects to UVA undergraduate students may apply for Parents Program grants and support for special initiatives.
  • President’s Office (25%)
The President’s Office allocated its Parents Program resources to the Alumni and Parent Engagement Office to support programming that enriches the student experience through parent engagement.
  • Student Affairs Office (25%)
The Parents Program provides essential support to this office, which shares a mission similar to that of the Parents Program.
