Young Alumni Photobooks
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the fourth-year experience for the Class of 2020 and Class of 2021 was unlike any other in the University’s 200+-year history. Rather than sharing their final months celebrating milestones with peers and enjoying the conclusion of their storied academic journeys, the Class of 2020’s experience culminated with classes delivered via Zoom and a virtual commencement ceremony. Similarly, the Class of 2021 faced significant restrictions around masking and on gatherings of more than six people, and dealt with other limitations that significantly shaped their experience when they returned to Grounds in the fall of 2020.
University Advancement's Donor Relations team sought to create a unique gift to acknowledge and honor the unusual experiences and challenges of the Classes of 2020 and 2021 that also celebrates some of the beautiful and often less-historic moments that were captured during the students' time on Grounds. The result, a beautifully crafted photo book documenting four historic years, was delivered as an unexpected keepsake to encourage recent graduates to remember the University they love. This is a particularly meaningful keepsake as the University’s yearbook, Corks & Curls, was discontinued in 2008 due to financial limitations. This photobook serves as a unique and limited-edition book of record for the University and student experience.
