Enriched Classroom Experiences
The socio-economic diversity made possible by scholarships and financial aid benefits all students—whether from affluent high schools, struggling rural schools, or international schools—as they interact in the classroom with students from different backgrounds and prepare for an increasingly diverse workplace.

UVA’s financial aid program has contributed to a remarkable retention rate of 96.4 percent for undergraduate students, and a six-year graduation rate of 94 percent. UVA also has one of the highest graduation rates for African-American students in the country.
