New Contemplative Commons Will Enable Collaboration, Experimentation
The University of Virginia announced plans for an innovative building on Grounds designed to bring students and faculty from different schools and disciplines together.
Sometimes you just know when a place is the right fit. Anastasia and Sanford Williams got that feeling as soon as they arrived in Charlottesville in 1993. Their memories of moving from New York City as a young married couple with children are still vivid 26 years later.
To participate fully in academic and extracurricular life on Grounds, a student must be feeling well. Parents know this, which is why they are taking the lead in funding construction of the new Student Health & Wellness Center.
Grateful for sunshine and for the alumni, parents, and friends who support the University of Virginia, hundreds of students lined up on the Lawn on GivingToHoosDay, April 10, to say thank you. The annual event raised $4.45 million in a 24-hour period from 7,247 donors.
